My husband and I are what I would consider intermediate amateur cooks-we are not quite up to using the food processor on a daily basis but finally do own one- we made it past taco seasoning in packets and processed parmesan cheese but still need to use measuring cups and spoons . . .
I never thought that I would love to cook, but I always knew that I loved to garden . . . perhaps my love of cooking has developed out of my love for growing food . . . regardless, I have become slightly obsessed with finding recipes in magazines. This has left me with unorganized, random folders full of recipes ripped out of magazines and scribbled notes to myself.
Which leads me to this blog-If you are looking for fairly easy and somewhat quick recipes then I am hoping that by posting the recipes my husband and I are making in our home*, I can do some of the recipe searching for you. I am also hoping you will then tell me what you thought of them and what you are cooking.
Here is the catch-due to the unfortunate lack of a trust fund and thus the need to work full time, the recipes we choose are not very complicated or time consuming. . . and by way of a warning, I do not love fish or seafood (I know-that is totally lame). So if you are a huge fish fan, there won't be that many recipes on here for you. . . (although i am trying to branch out these days so the recipes may start to include a few fish ones here and then).
So please- enjoy the recipes, let me know what you think and what you are making for dinner!

*our apartment was nicknamed Jerk Castle long ago by someone way wittier than me based on its location in a neighborhood in Brooklyn with an amazingly large number of Carribean restaurants.

So that's how your blog's name was born. What a funny story!

No offense, but if there's a facebook like button, it'll be much easier for me to share.
